Take ownership of standard residential HVAC installations from setup through commissioning. Level 3 installers work independently, troubleshoot confidently, communicate well with customers, and help newer installers build their skills.
You’ll plan and complete high-quality heat-pump, furnace, water-heating, ventilation, and controls work across homes.
- Plan equipment placement, piping, drainage, wiring, duct connections, and efficient crew workflow.
- Braze or flare, pressure-test, evacuate, charge, start up, and commission systems correctly.
- Diagnose installation and control issues and verify airflow and system performance.
- Complete accurate documentation and explain system operation to customers.
- Coach Level 1 and Level 2 installers and reinforce safety and quality standards.

Requirements
- EPA Section 608 certification.
- 3–5+ years of residential HVAC installation or comparable Level 2 experience.
- Strong knowledge of heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, controls, refrigeration, and commissioning.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to complete standard installations independently.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and changing weather.
- Valid driver’s license; NATE, manufacturer, airflow/static-pressure, Energy Trust, or Spanish skills are a plus.
