Mechatronics Engineer

Location: Hamilton, IN 
 Position Type: Full-Time 
 Reports To: Engineering Manager

Full Job Description 

The Mechatronics Engineer supports manufacturing operations by designing, integrating, troubleshooting, and improving systems that combine mechanical, electrical, robotics, controls, and software technologies.

Automation & Integrated Systems Development 

  • Design and implement mechatronic systems.
  • Support automated work cells and material handling equipment.

Robotics & Automation Support 

  • Program and troubleshoot robots and automation systems.
  • Support startup and commissioning activities.

Controls & Electrical Systems 

  • Program PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and drives.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Production Support 

  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.

Continuous Improvement 

  • Improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Project Management 

  • Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.

Safety & Compliance 

  • Support OSHA compliance and machine safety initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related field.
  • 3+ years manufacturing or automation experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
