Concept Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Johnston, Iowa.

About the Role


As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you'll provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). You'll work with patients recovering from surgery, illness, injury, and hospitalization while helping them safely improve mobility, balance, endurance, strength, and functional independence.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy treatments established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress with the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients in improving mobility, balance, gait, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
  • Accurately document treatments, patient progress, and daily billing.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise and maintenance programs.
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensure requirements and Concept Rehab policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice (or eligible for licensure).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for helping older adults maximize mobility, safety, and independence.
