We are looking to hire a dependable MedicalAssistant for their Primary Care department to support high-quality patientcare by delivering excellent customer service and collaborating with the careteam.  

This role performs essential administrative andclinical duties to ensure efficient, smooth clinical operations. 

Schedule: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE

What You’ll Do  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Welcome patients warmly and provide care with dignity, kindness, and compassion 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience 
  • Coordinate access and completion of preventive care (HEDIS) for each scheduled patient using the i2i Huddle List 
  • Identify care gaps and initiate next steps for standing order items 
  • Coordinate with medical providers on additional items requiring provider orders 
  • Collect and document patient vitals, medical history, and chief complaints accurately in the medical record 
  • Administer immunizations, draw blood, and perform hematocrit and basic tests per clinician request or standing orders; review and update immunization records according to protocol 
  • Assist medical providers with exams, procedures, room setup, and in-room support 
  • Verify and update pharmacy information at each visit and update records accordingly 
  • Perform and document vision and hearing screenings as needed 
  • Provide visit summaries, coordinate next steps, and schedule recommended follow-up appointments 
  • Record all information in patient medical records per protocol 
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms in accordance with OSHA guidelines 
  • Maintain assigned program logs as assigned by Supervisor and/or Clinic Manager  
  • Ensure compliance with Medical Assistant protocols 
  • Follow up on appointment no-shows as directed 
  • Participate actively in assigned care team meetings 
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient confidentiality 
  • Promote smooth patient flow through effective communication, timely handoffs, and collaboration with the care team 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What We Are Looking For  

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes 

  • Medical Assistant certification and current CPR certification 
  • Excellent customer service and professional phone communication skills 
  • Strong computer, keyboarding, Windows, and data entry skills 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred 
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
