We are looking to hire a compassionate Pediatricianfor their Primary Care department.

Schedule: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Record medical histories, perform physical exams, and provide patient care, follow-up and individualized instruction according to treatment plans and medical protocols
  • Prescribe appropriate medications according to medical protocols and standard medical practice
  • Identify physical, nutritional, psychosocial, emotional and/or lifestyle concerns and refer patients to appropriate on-site or off-site resources
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation in accordance with clinic protocols, funding source requirements, and standard medical practice
  • Maintain compliance with clinical and administrative quality measures, including HEDIS metrics and patient productivity
  • Consult with the Chief Medical Officer or specialty physicians for patient evaluations as needed
  • Complete timely EHR documentation and actions, including diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, and medications
  • Address pending EHR PAQ items in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly to E-Consult specialist reviewers
  • Provide medical services through the organization’s telehealth platform
  • Adhere to QI guidelines and participate in chronic disease Quality Improvement programs
  • Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers as assigned
  • Collaborate with Registered Dietitians and Health Educators to provide appropriate patient education
  • Participate in Provider and Quality Improvement meetings as required
  • Serve as a preceptor for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or resident physicians as assigned
  • Attend conferences and seminars as requested and fulfill continuing education requirements
  • Provide periodic training to Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other clinic staff
  • Participate in provider recruitment activities
  • Participate in activities that support the development of clinical support team members

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited medical school (MD/DO) and Pediatrics residency program 
  • Current California Physician License
  • Current DEA Certification + Current CPR Certification
  • Current Board Certification in Pediatrics

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups within the service area
  • Interact professionally with patients in person and by phone while providing excellent customer service
  • Travel between clinic and meeting locations within the geographic service area
