Dream Nannies is seeking an exceptional, energetic, and highly proactive Nanny/House Manager for a busy, active family in Spartanburg, SC. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves engaging with children but is equally talented at keeping a household running smoothly behind the scenes. The family has two children, ages 4 and 2, with a new baby arriving in January. Their 4-year-old is incredibly bright, observant, funny, imaginative, and routine-oriented. Their 2-year-old is an energetic, physical, adventurous little boy who loves following his older sibling’s lead and is happiest staying on the move. With both children, creativity is key, and the family would love someone who can turn everyday routines, learning, and even cleanup into something fun and engaging.
The ideal candidate is active, playful, patient, safety-conscious, resourceful, and confident keeping up with two busy young children while encouraging their development through hands-on learning. The family would love someone who enjoys incorporating numbers, letters, colors, reading, practical skills, and other preschool concepts naturally into play and daily life. Experience with Montessori-inspired learning or developmental activities is a wonderful bonus. The family practices calm redirection and patient communication and is looking for someone who can confidently navigate big toddler emotions while maintaining appropriate boundaries and structure.
This family follows a holistic lifestyle centered around clean, whole foods and would appreciate someone who is comfortable supporting the routines and preferences already established in their home. Their nanny should be observant and adaptable, learning how the household functions and helping maintain those systems. Beyond childcare, this person will truly serve as an extra set of hands and eyes throughout the home by staying ahead of laundry, tidying, dishes, organization, children’s meals, household resets, and other day-to-day needs without always needing direction. With a new baby arriving, familiarity with infant care, bottle washing, developmental milestones, and eventually supporting established infant routines is important.
This is a great fit for someone who is energetic enough to spend hours playing tag or climbing around the playground, silly enough to invent a game on the spot, and organized enough to walk inside afterward and immediately recognize what needs to happen next. The family works collaboratively as a team and is looking for someone who can observe, learn, adapt, and eventually operate with independence. Flexibility is important, as occasional earlier starts, later evenings, additional hours, and domestic travel may be needed. The family typically travels several times throughout the year, including work trips and trips to Florida. For a proactive, upbeat Nanny/House Manager who loves being busy, takes pride in doing things well, and genuinely enjoys becoming an integral part of a household, this could be an incredible long-term opportunity.
