Job DetailsJob Location: Hillsborough - GEMD - West Tampa - Tampa, FL 33614Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: On SiteGeneral Summary: The Lead CT/ Radiology Tech completes quality imaging on a variety of patients requiring X-Ray鈥檚 and/or CT studies and serves in a leadership role within the Radiology Team. Description of Essential Duties: 路 In addition to performing all items in the CT/ Radiology Tech Job Description, the Lead position will also: 路 Perform meaningful growth meeting with RT鈥檚 on a routine basis and identify areas of improvement that will result in the meeting or exceeding of organizational quality metric goals. 路 Adhere to and positively promote all protocols 路 Professionally and expertly represent GEMD during surveys related to the clinical area (DOH, COLA, AHCA, JC, etc.) 路 Participation in QA/PI activities a. Light Alignment Testing b. Lead Shield Testing c. Equipment PM鈥檚 d. Other audits as dictated by the FL or VP of Clinical Operations 路 Maintenance of all diagnostic imaging equipment (CT scanner, X-Ray unit, US machine, and all their components) 路 Maintain quality standards by updating protocols as needed, making recommendations based on current best practices, bringing to the attention of the Facility Leader any unsafe practices, etc. 路 Ensure the workflow of the clinical area during the workday, addressing any issues/challenges 路 Communicate positively with all team members and patients 路 Continuous education and training of team on new or updated processes/equipment 路 Actively participate in the hiring and termination of radiology team 路 Serve as a strong resource for the staff and support the Facility Leader in their absence 路 Utilize organizational specific software to reference old patient records and organizational protocols 路 Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance 聽 聽 路 Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics (Door to EKG, Troponin TAT, Door to Antibiotic, Etc.) 路 Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player 路 Completion of daily checklists 路 Participate in morning huddles when on shift 路 Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned 路 Participate in facility specific education and training (i.e., OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, ALARA, etc.) 路 Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Facility Leader and VP Clinical Operations 聽 聽 QualificationsJob Requirements: Education: Associates Experience Years: 2 Years Experience Type: 聽 路 Active State of Florida License 路 Active AART and CT Certification 路 Must hold an active BLS certification 路 Healthcare Leadership/Management experience strongly recommended 路 Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test 路 Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts 路 Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment 路 Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.) 路 Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility 路 Ability to travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) to cover shifts. 路 Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English 路 Bilingual Preferred 路 Proficiency with Windows based computers and common programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common forms of electronic communication. 路 Great positive communication skills (including the ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English) 路 Ability to build relationships with patients and employees and help support a culture of passion and enthusiasm 聽 聽 聽 聽 Certifications/Licenses: 路 Active State of Florida License 路 Active AART Certification 路 Must hold an active BLS certification
