The role you will contribute:

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs complex diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens and interprets data.

The value you will bring to the team:

  • Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results
  • Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures
  • Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices
  • Leads quality control and quality assurance testing
  • Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned
  • Assists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staff


The expertise and experiences you will need to succeed:

  • Associate’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or related field or equivalent education and training
  • PREFERRED:
    •    Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science, or related field
    •    One year of Clinical Lab experience
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), or Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst)
