We are looking to hire an experienced and qualifiedAssociate OBGYN Medical Director for their Obstetrics and Gynecologydepartment.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, theAssociate OB/GYN Medical Director provides clinical and administrativeleadership for the OBGYN department, overseeing providers, staff development,training, quality improvement, and compliance while delivering women’s healthand prenatal care, managing high-risk patients, supporting clinical protocols,and collaborating with leadership to enhance OBGYN services across the healthcenter sites.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative responsibilities in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and, as needed, the Chief Operating Officer
  • Provide leadership and supervision to OBGYN clinical staff across all health center sites, including orientation, training, clinical performance evaluations, annual performance reviews, and corrective actions with the CMO
  • Assist the CMO in developing, implementing, and reviewing QI standards for OBGYN services
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and contract requirements affecting OBGYN clinical practice
  • Provide training to OBGYN providers and staff to support compliance with health center policies, procedures, and health plan guidelines
  • Develop relationships with local specialists and hospitals to expand access to specialty care for OBGYN patients
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Committee activities as required
  • Participate in health center’s medical provider & physician recruitment activities as required
  • Provide women’s health exams, prenatal care, contraceptive, and STI services within the scope of OBGYN practice
  • Identify high-risk patients and refer them to appropriate outside resources according to clinical protocols
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation in accordance with protocols, funding requirements, and health plan standards
  • Identify patients with sexual, dietary, social, and/or mental health concerns and refer them to appropriate resources
  • Serve as a preceptor for OBGYN Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and medical students as required
  • Update medical protocols in collaboration with the CMO and other OBGYN providers as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Completion of an accredited medical training program
  • Valid California Physician License, DEACertification, and Board Certification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and ethnic groups
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, shared office environment
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients in person and by phone
