We are looking to hire a qualified and experiencedHuman Resource Director for their Administration Department. 

Reporting to Chief Executive Office, The HumanResource Director oversees the administration, coordination, and evaluation ofthe organization’s human resources function while leading the development andimplementation of effective HR strategies and programs.

What You’ll Do  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, performance evaluation, compensation, disciplinary actions, and exit processes 
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth, talent acquisition, employee engagement, high performance, strong employee relations, employer reputation, and legal compliance 
  • Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives by partnering with senior management and identifying key talent and creating development strategies 
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to directors and supervisors on HR matters, policies, procedures, and employee information 
  • Lead employee investigations and recommend appropriate actions, including coaching, warnings, performance improvement plans, terminations, and layoffs, with proper documentation 
  • Oversee benefits administration, including health, life, LTD, pension, COBRA, leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability, etc.) , and unemployment insurance, ensuring timely and accurate employee communication 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including COBRA, wage and hour laws, EEOC, workers’ compensation, ADA, FMLA, and CFRA 

What We Are Looking For  

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field from an accredited college or university 
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification 
  • 5–7 years of management or administrative experience in Human Resources, preferably at the Director or Senior Manager level 

Additional Skills and Attributes  

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including Wage & Hour, ADA, FMLA, CFRA, OSHA, workers’ compensation, I-9, and COBRA 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism 
  • Ability to manage deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Word, and Excel; experience with ADP preferred
