We are looking to hire an experienced andcompassionate OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for their Obstetrics andGynecology department.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the OBG APPwill provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in accordance withestablished clinical guidelines, medical standards, and practice protocols.

Schedule: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the supervising orcollaborating Physician, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will:

  • Perform comprehensive initial assessments and follow-up examinations for prenatal patients in accordance with established protocols
  • Provide women’s health examinations, basic gynecologic care, contraceptive and STD services according to clinical protocols
  • Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in accordance with protocols
  • Order laboratory tests, perform appropriate procedures, and complete required follow-up care in accordance with protocols
  • Identify high-risk patients and refer them to an OBGYN physician or appropriate outside resources in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Complete timely EHR documentation and actions, including diagnoses, treatment plans, orders, medications, and related information
  • Address pending EHR PAQ items in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly to E-Consult specialist reviewers
  • Follow Quality Improvement guidelines and participate in Quality Improvement programs for chronic diseases
  • Maintain and update educational materials and patient instruction sheets as needed
  • Participate in monthly Provider & team Meetings as required
  • Serve as a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or medical students as assigned
  • Attend conferences and seminars asrequested and fulfill continuing education requirements
  • Participate in provider recruitmentactivities
  • Support activities that promote thedevelopment of clinical support team members
  • Work to enhance the effectiveness of theOBGYN program in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and OBGYNAssociate Medical Director
  • Effectively multitask and prioritizedaily workload
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

Education, Licenses and Certifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider training program
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with training in obstetrics
  • Current California license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Current DEA certification + Current CPR certification
  • Current board certification from an accredited Advanced Practice Provider certifying organization

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate clearly through speaking, hearing, and writing
