TheOpportunity

TheService Manager leads the daily operations of the Service Department, developsa high-performing team, delivers an exceptional ownership experience, anddrives sustainable profitability. This role is ideal for a proven automotiveleader who values integrity over excuses, accountability over blame, solutionsover problems, and people over ego.

Successwill be measured not only by financial performance, but also by customerloyalty, employee engagement, operational discipline, and the culture createdwithin the department.

WhatYou Will Lead

  • Lead,coach, and develop service advisors, technicians, dispatchers, and supportstaff.
  • Createa customer-first culture focused on trust, communication, and an outstandingownership experience.
  • Manageworkflow, scheduling, repair quality, cycle time, and technician utilization toensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitordepartment performance, including labor sales, gross profit, effective laborrate, productivity, expenses, and overall profitability.
  • Reviewkey performance indicators daily and implement clear action plans to improveresults.
  • Establishexpectations and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance,professionalism, safety, and ethical conduct.
  • Resolvecustomer concerns promptly and professionally while protecting long-termrelationships.
  • Recruit,hire, onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate department personnel.
  • Partnerclosely with Parts, Sales, and the Business Office to create seamlessdealership operations.
  • Maintaincompliance with manufacturer standards, warranty policies, safety regulations,and dealership procedures.
  • Promotecontinuous improvement through regular coaching, performance reviews,recognition, and process refinement.

Requirements

WhatWe Are Looking For

  • Minimumof five years of automotive service management experience.
  • Demonstratedability to lead teams, improve customer satisfaction, and grow departmentalprofitability.
  • Strongknowledge of dealership management systems, manufacturer processes, warrantyrequirements, and service operations.
  • Abilityto analyze financial statements, operating reports, and performance metrics andtranslate them into action.
  • Excellentcommunication, coaching, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ahigh level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, organization, andadaptability.
