Gateway Diagnostic Imaging is actively searching for a Patient Service Representative Supervisor to join our team at our location in Abilene, TX.

The Patient Service Representative Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors while performing the requested duties. These duties will include interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, verifying patient insurance, explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative, and collecting same-day payments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
  • Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones
  • Monitors and approves timecards
  • Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and on-going development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/ or terminations when necessary
  • Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
  • Develops and monitors the teams’ performance through a QA process
  • Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage (5%)
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years office experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
