Hiring Full Time Staff Nurse Night Shift Weekly - No Weekends -Tuesday, Thursday, Friday nights

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Facility

Responsibility: Ensures that nursing care is provided according to established standards and policies. Renders nursing care to geriatric and rehab patients as coordinated by a physician. Helps train nursing staff at aide level.

Job Description and Duties:

Quality of Care

  • Responsible for the administration of medications and treatments.
  • Maintenance of patient records
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation
  • Pronouncement and documentation of expired residents
  • Reports and investigates incidents thoroughly and timely
  • Helps maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical needs of each patient.
  • Assists physicians during rounds.

Leadership

  • Acts as team leader, responsible for execution of duties of the team.
  • Verifies that maximum nursing care is being provided and notes any change in patient's condition.
  • Helps orient new nursing staff.
  • Participates in organization and provision of in-service programs for nursing staff.
  • Provides guidance for aides and resident helpers.

Other
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  2. Currently registered with the State Board of Nursing Examiners.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  4. Demonstrates proficient nursing skills.
  5. Continuing educational programs are required under direction of In-service Coordinator and/or other facilities.

Must have Long Term care experience.

Physical Requirements:
Good physical and mental health.
