Under the direction of the Medical and Calendar Manager, the Medical Records Clerk will assist with gathering and organizing medical records and legal documents into an internal electronic case management system. The role includes data entry, collecting information for packets, providing notes to attorneys, external communication, and confirming parties' attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and indexing electronic medical records from files
  • Copying and scanning of records
  • Packaging and mailing of records and correspondence
  • Faxing and data entry
  • Assisting with a variety of day-to-day tasks as needed

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF, and Outlook
  • Strong reading comprehension and data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
  • Knowledge of how to use a printer and copier machine
  • Basic understanding of workers’ compensation and medical terminology (preferred)
  • Case Management Software and EAMS a plus
  • Ability to interact effectively and clearly with the public, clients, and employees
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

ADA / Physical Requirements:

  • Sufficient dexterity to operate a keyboard and other office equipment
  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Ability to observe details, read printed materials, and view computer screens
  • Ability to move within an office environment and operate office equipment.

  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and push up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to communicate via phone, email, and in-person interactions

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and work well under pressure, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and have pride in work product. This is a fast-paced position that requires a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
