The software application and support team is seeking talented an enthusiastic intern to contribute towards key projects supporting the Department of Energy’s national security mission. Experience a work environment that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and partnership. The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM degree.

Responsibilities

The Intern will support the following objectives daily: 

  • Work with the Business Applications team to design , implement and manage software applications through writing/ debugging code 
  • Participate in code reviews and other quality assurance activities 
  • Troubleshooting software issues 
  • Work in an contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity within the Business Applications team 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must be a US Citizen 
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate STEM program and have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Majoring in computer science, software engineering, or similar STEM degree 
  •  Strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills 
  • Python, C#, Linux, SQL
