Summary/Objective

Support, lead, and expand Managed Services and Outsource locations across the country. Modify and develop operational business models to meet market demand for a variety of industries in the manufacturing operations, and distribution center space. Lead and develop direct reports to meet growth capacity and ensure that MAU deliverables are met as required by location. Maintain layered connected checking to ensure quality service and support a world class safety culture.



Essential Functions

  •  Establish and manage operations budgets for all sites and check expense controls monthly.
  • Serve as the key point leader for budget development with a focus on forecasting margin, labor cost and expense demands.
  • Develop leadership to ensure bench strength and prepare for customer growth.
  • Expand business through organic growth and engagement of new opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in new customer engagements and industry functions.
  • Ensure business deliverables are achieved by active engagement with Site and General Managers through Gemba walks and Leader Standard Work checks.
  • Mentor direct reports on process improvement opportunities and ensure a spirit of process improvement is supported daily in operations.
  • Negotiate contracts to maximize gross margin.
  • Serve as a point leader for market information sharing with the customer to influence contract changes and drive organic growth opportunities.
  • Actively participate in corporate strategic planning and drive critical focus topics throughout leadership teams.
  • Live safety by checking safety culture at all customer locations.
  • Check safety compliance with audits of ICI/Process Map investigations, behavioral based observations, incident investigation quality, corrective actions, employee recognition and training system compliance.

Work Environment or Working Conditions

The working conditions and environments are created by our customer’s facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Customer sites sometimes include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles.  Environments may vary from non-temperature controlled environments to GMP clean room required. 

 

Physical Demands

This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to stand/walk/sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to climb flights of stairs multiple times a day.
  • Ability to tour manufacturing facilities.

 

Travel

This position requires up to 50% - 75% travel.
