Job Summary

DMD Systems Recovery LLC, a leader in IT asset disposition (ITAD), is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Enterprise Data Centre Business Development Director to drive strategic growth across enterprise-owned data centers, colocation providers, cloud service providers, and infrastructure organizations.

This is a true hunter role focused primarily on net-new logo acquisition and expansion into large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will develop and execute account strategies that create long-term partnerships with organizations undergoing data center migrations, cloud transformations, hardware refreshes, consolidations, divestitures, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. You will identify, develop, and close complex six- and seven-figure IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and data center lifecycle management opportunities. Working closely with executive stakeholders, operations teams, and strategic partners, you will position DMD as the preferred provider of secure, sustainable, and financially beneficial ITAD solutions.

This role reports to one of the Sales Directors and offers a clear pathway toward future sales leadership opportunities as DMD continues its rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development (Hunter Focus)

  • New business development. Proactively identify and target potential clients for ITAD services, including companies with large IT infrastructures, government agencies, data centers, and technology firms.

  • Enterprise & data center relationships. Develop and leverage relationships across enterprise-owned data centers, colocation providers, and cloud service providers to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.

Consultative & Solution Selling

  • Client relationship management. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction throughout the IT asset disposition process.

  • Consultative sales approach. Understand clients’ IT asset lifecycle and offer solutions tailored to their specific needs, including data security, environmental compliance, and value recovery from retired IT assets.

  • Solution selling. Promote the full range of DMD’s ITAD services, including secure data destruction, equipment remarketing, logistics management, and e-waste recycling.

Proposals, Market Intelligence & Collaboration

  • Proposal development. Create and present customized proposals, RFP responses, and contracts to potential clients, aligning DMD’s services with their operational and compliance requirements.

  • Market research & competitive analysis. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to develop strategies for expanding the client base and increasing market share.

  • Cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with DMD’s operations, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth service delivery and meet client expectations.

Sales Targets & Reporting

  • Sales targets. Meet or exceed individual and team sales quotas and revenue goals, providing regular sales forecasting and reporting to leadership.

  • Records management. Maintain and update sales and customer records.

Education and Experience:

  • B2B sales experience. 8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a new-business account executive role within IT asset disposition, IT services, or related technology industries.

  • Complex deal leadership. Experience leading complex six- and seven-figure sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and executive-level decision makers - including multi-year enterprise contracts and RFP-driven deals.

  • Proven track record. A history of exceeding revenue targets and closing high-value deals. You have led or significantly influenced deals with Fortune 1000/5000-level clients and understand how to navigate long sales cycles, procurement processes, and enterprise RFPs.

  • ITAD & IT hardware knowledge. Knowledge of IT hardware (servers, networking equipment, computers, etc.) and the ITAD process, including data security, e-waste recycling regulations, and equipment remarketing.

  • Communication & presentation. Excellent communication and presentation skills with a focus on customer service and problem-solving.

  • Independence & prioritization. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Tools. Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
