Sales Assistant — Entertainment Lighting & Production Supplies
The Opportunity
An established entertainment lighting and production-equipment supplier is seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to support its Chicago sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction, organization, and the energy of the entertainment industry. You will help prepare quotes, process orders, support showroom customers, and ensure projects move smoothly from inquiry through fulfillment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales team.
- Prepare quotes and respond to, or route, incoming customer inquiries.
- Assist customers in the showroom, by phone, and through written communication.
- Enter quotes and process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support order fulfillment while proactively managing customer expectations.
- Help ensure invoicing is timely and accurate.
- Assist with product demonstrations, customer events, and related sales activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional showroom.
- Support warehouse activities, stock checks, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and customers.
What You Bring
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine commitment to responsive, high-quality customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous sales, customer service, warehouse, inventory, or order-processing experience is helpful.
- A background in theatre, film, broadcast, entertainment production, lighting, or architectural lighting is a plus.
