Connect Staffing Agency of Georgia is seeking an experience Local CDL Driver for a direct-hire opportunity to join our team in Dalton, GA. Position Details:
- Direct Hire - hired directly by the compny
- Start Pay: $23.00/hour
- Benefits available after 90 days
- Shift:6:00 AM - 6:00 PMÂ
- Local driving - No overnight staysÂ
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local routes in and around Dalton, GA
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load, unload, and verify cargo accuracy for each delivery
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and any incidents or delays promptly
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A or CDL-B) required
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules
- Ability to lift and handle freight as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Previous local driving experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must pass a drug screen
