We are hiring Oral Chemotherapy Liaison Nurse into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological, emotional and informational support to oncology and haematology patients and their families throughout diagnosis and treatment.

  • Act as a patient advocate, coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care, and support patients attending other hospital departments or external services.

  • Provide education and training to patients, families and healthcare staff, including education on oral systemic anti-cancer treatments.

  • Maintain high standards of evidence-based practice through clinical audit, research, quality improvement, policy development and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Provide specialist clinical leadership within Oncology and Haematology, promote professional development, ensure compliance with hospital policies and professional standards, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of cancer services.



Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMBI registration.

  • Hold a Postgraduate Qualification in Cancer Care/Oncology Nursing.

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience, including at least 3 years’ experience in Medical Oncology.

  • Minimum 2 years’ oncology management experience at CNM1 level or above, with relevant management development training.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to work independently, manage an individual caseload, initiate and implement change, with good IT skills, teaching and assessing experience, and knowledge of nursing research.

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in developing the Oncology Liaison Nurse role and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of oncology services.
