Regional Finance Manager (interim)

 

Location: US/Canada/UK/Ireland

 

About the role

The main purpose of the Regional Finance Manager role is to lead the regional finance function, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and consistency of financial information across all entities within the region. Reporting to the Group CFO, the Regional Finance Manager oversees the preparation of financial statements in accordance with local regulations, ensures tax compliance, and drives the optimization of tax outcomes across the region. This role also involves managing the regional finance team, supervising collection processes, and serving as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax authorities. Additionally, the Regional Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and financial planning across the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight & Budget Management
    • Take full responsibility for the regional financial accounts, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
    • Review monthly accounts and supervise accounting operations in close coordination with the ASSC (Accounting Shared Service Center) team.
    • Provide performance analysis and insights in collaboration with the FP&A team.
    • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and declarations in accordance with local regulations.
    • Lead annual financial audits in the region and support the Group audit process.
    • Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve internal controls, ensuring alignment with Group policies and procedures.
    • Oversee cash collection activities, working closely with the ASSC team to maintain reasonable DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and a healthy accounts receivable ageing balance.

 

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
    • Act as a strategic finance partner to regional leadership teams, supporting business planning and decision-making.
    • Align regional financial strategies and goals with overall Group objectives.
    • Support the Group CFO with financial data, analysis, and reporting, including the identification and mitigation of financial risks.
    • Participate actively in group-wide projects and ad hoc assignments, representing regional finance priorities.
    • Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for growth, cost efficiency, and process optimization within the finance function.

 

  • Customer, Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Foster strong collaboration between local operational teams and the ASSC to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations.
    • Represent the finance function in interactions with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, and banking institutions.
    • Provide financial insights and support to local leadership teams, participating in key business meetings and strategic discussions.
    • Ensure open, transparent communication across teams and stakeholders to promote cross-functional alignment.

 

  • Risk Management & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
    • Promote a strong internal control environment, ensuring adherence to Group policies and mitigate financial risk.
    • Continuously assess and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting to enhance operational integrity and profitability.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high ethical standards across all finance operations.

  • >8 years of professional experience

 

Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree

Field: Accounting, finance, or a related field

 

Language:

  • English [Mandatory]
  • Local language proficiency
