The opportunityÂ
The Product Manager – Event Experience role at EY represents an opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly expanding global events ecosystem. Using solutions from market-leading suppliers including Cvent, SpotMe, and related attendee-facing capabilities, this role leads a high-impact product cluster that supports registration, event websites, event apps, communications, accessibility, engagement, personalisation and post-event insight across EY’s global event programme.
Â
As EY scales its event technology footprint, this role must balance global standardisation with the nuance required by regional teams, audience expectations, strategic event goals and in-person, virtual and hybrid formats. The Event Experience portfolio is foundational to how attendees discover, register for, join, navigate, engage with and gain value from EY events worldwide. It is a highly visible position that helps deliver seamless, branded, inclusive and intuitive attendee journeys while improving adoption, engagement data, quality of experience and return on event technology investment. By driving product strategy, configuration standards, roadmap delivery, stakeholder alignment and enablement, the role strengthens EY’s ability to deliver cohesive, scalable and insight-rich event experiences globally.
Â
This role partners closely with event operations, Brand Marketing and Communications (BMC), Talent/Learning, regional build-and-run teams, producers, managed services, digital teams, suppliers and integration partners to ensure attendee-facing platforms are well-governed, effectively configured and continuously improved. The focus is on creating connected experiences across the full attendee journey, from nomination and registration through pre-event communications, agenda access, mobile and web experiences, networking, translation, engagement, onsite interactions, feedback and post-event analytics.
Â
Your key responsibilitiesÂ
- Own the product vision and roadmap for EY’s Event Experience product cluster, with a focus on Cvent, SpotMe, and others with related capabilities that support attendee management, event apps, communications, engagement, accessibility and data capture.
- Design and improve end-to-end attendee journeys by defining product requirements, experience standards and configuration approaches that make EY events intuitive, branded, inclusive and easy to navigate across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.
- Lead the evaluation, governance and deployment of attendee-facing AI capabilities, including attendee assistants, personalised agenda and content recommendations, intelligent networking, next-best-action prompts, translation, accessibility support and post-event insight generation.
- Partner with strategic events, BMC, Talent/Learning, regional teams, producers and managed service partners to capture demand, prioritise the backlog, and translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and rollout plans that improve the attendee experience while supporting operational delivery.
- Run discovery, pilots and controlled rollouts for new attendee experience capabilities, using feedback, analytics and event outcomes to validate value before scaling globally.
- Define governance, standards and guardrails for attendee-facing platforms, including branding, accessibility, localisation, content structure, communications, data capture, privacy, supplier readiness and platform configuration, to ensure a consistent global experience while allowing for appropriate regional variation.
- Measure and improve outcomes by defining KPIs such as registration conversion, attendance, engagement, session participation, attendee satisfaction, quality of experience, adoption quality and platform performance; analyse usage data, feedback and event insights to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.
- Lead supplier collaboration and integration alignment for attendee-facing technologies and connected systems, ensuring data flows, communications, reporting, accessibility services and downstream experiences work together to support reliable live-event delivery and a seamless end-user journey.
Â
Skills and attributes for successÂ
- Strong product management fundamentals, including vision, discovery, prioritisation, roadmap development, backlog management, release planning and value measurement.
- Experience with attendee-facing event technology platforms, ideally including Cvent Registration, Attendee Hub, SpotMe or similar tools, and a strong understanding of registration, mobile apps, communications, engagement, translation, attendee tracking and onsite/digital event experiences.
- A strong understanding of user experience principles and the ability to translate attendee, planner and sponsor needs into clear product requirements, reusable standards, playbooks and measurable improvements.
- Integration and data literacy, with the ability to understand platform dependencies, attendee data flows, privacy considerations, reporting needs and how changes in one platform affect connected experiences, analytics and downstream marketing or sales processes.
- Ability to influence without authority across a global, matrixed organisation and drive alignment across regions, stakeholder groups, suppliers and delivery partners operating in a low-fault-tolerance live event environment.
- Excellent communication and enablement skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, create effective guidance and training materials, consult on best practice and support successful adoption of new attendee experience capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder, supplier and customer success skills, combined with analytical decision-making and the ability to use data, feedback, adoption patterns and event performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and value realisation.
Â
To qualify for the role, you must have
Relevant experience in product management, product ownership, customer success, digital experience or technology-enabled services, preferably in a complex enterprise, events, SaaS or marketing technology environment.
Â
Ideally, you’ll also have
Hands-on experience with the Cvent suite of products, SpotMe, or similar event experience platforms spanning in-person, virtual and hybrid delivery.
