The Staff Pad has partnered with a well-known health organization in Alturas, CA and we are looking to hire a dependable and dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join their pharmacy team.

Under the direction of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, the Retail Pharmacist will oversee comprehensive retail pharmacy operations, including medication procurement, distribution, storage, and appropriate drug administration.

The pharmacist also ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and service.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Fill and dispense prescribed medications and verify prescription accuracy
  • Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, and proper storage as needed
  • Oversee, direct, supervise, and provide guidance to pharmacy staff involved in medication preparation, packaging, and labeling to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Uphold quality assurance and ensure the security of controlled substances
  • Promptly and accurately resolve third-party insurance processing issues
  • Support customer service programs and patient engagement initiatives
  • Foster collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations and standards

What We Are Looking For

Education, Licensure and Skills

  • Active California pharmacist license
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service
