Job Description:

Keep ISU Dining moving from the warehouse to the table! As a Storekeeper II, you’ll play a key role in receiving, storing, inventorying, and delivering food, supplies, equipment, and other materials across ISU Dining locations. You’lloperate delivery vehicles and pallet jacks, load and unload materials, verify deliveries, complete transfer documentation, distribute products, and coordinate with delivery-site staff to ensure items are safely and accurately placed. You’ll also move furniture and equipment between Dining locations and serve as a resource for delivery logistics. 
 

You’llmaintain inventory across coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation, receiving temperatures, product quality, and accurate records. You’ll fulfill orders and requisitions, conduct inventory counts, use tablet and inventory systems, complete Quality Assurance logs, and maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas. The role also includes supporting and training student staff, assisting with equipment maintenance, coordinating vendor returns, and obtaining and maintaining ServSafe and forklift certifications. Some items may weigh up to 100 pounds. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food service, warehouse, storeroom, receiving, or distribution operations. 

  • Experience receiving, storing, rotating, and issuing food, supplies, or inventory. 

  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment. 

  • Experience using computerized inventory, purchasing, or warehouse management systems. 

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, quality assurance, temperature monitoring, and FIFO inventory practices. 

 

About the Department

ISU Dining’s Foodstores Logistics team keeps dining operations running smoothly by receiving, storing, managing, and distributing the food, supplies, and equipment needed across campus dining locations. The team plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in ensuring products are available, properly handled, and delivered safely and efficiently to support the Cyclone dining experience.
