Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to lead the company’s inventory control operations and oversee the daily activities of the inventory and warehouse teams.
Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations, as well as previous team leadership or supervisory experience. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, improving inventory control processes, resolving inventory discrepancies, and coordinating with the warehouse and logistics departments.
Candidates must possess strong English and Chinese Mandarin communication skills and be proficient in office software and inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the inventory control team.
- Monitor work progress to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all company warehouses and inventory systems.
- Manage receiving, shipping, stock transfers, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Review inventory reports and investigate shortages, overages, damaged products, and system discrepancies.
- Review and approve inventory adjustments in accordance with company policies and authorization procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and other key inventory performance indicators.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are properly documented and entered into the system in a timely manner.
- Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure the team complies with company policies, workplace safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Assist management with warehouse, inventory, and supply chain-related projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, supply chain operations, or a related field.
- Previous employee management or team leadership experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, including the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Dependable, punctual, responsible, and able to handle confidential company information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems, inventory management systems, or warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency in Excel PivotTables, lookup functions, and inventory reporting.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses or locations.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and inventory audit procedures.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine warehouse-related activities as needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely access different warehouse and inventory storage areas.
