About the Role:

The BVT Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the design, execution, and analysis of Build Verification Tests (BVT). This position focuses on early detection of defects by validating new builds and verifying that critical functionalities perform as expected before further testing phases. The analyst collaborates closely with development and quality assurance teams to identify issues, provide actionable feedback, and support continuous integration processes. By maintaining and improving automated and manual BVT suites, the analyst helps accelerate release cycles while maintaining high standards of software quality. Ultimately, the BVT Analyst contributes to delivering robust software solutions that meet business requirements and customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with software testing methodologies, particularly Build Verification Testing.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools like Selenium, Jenkins, or similar.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and working in Agile teams.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in performance testing and security testing is a plus.
• Certifications related to software testing such as ISTQB or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute Build Verification Test cases to validate new software builds.
• Analyze test results to identify defects and communicate findings to development teams promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand build changes and update test suites accordingly.
• Support automation efforts by creating and enhancing automated BVT scripts and frameworks.
• Document test procedures, results, and defects clearly and maintain test repositories for traceability.

Skills:

The required skills enable the BVT Analyst to design and execute effective test cases that ensure software build stability and functionality. Proficiency in scripting languages is essential for developing automated test scripts that increase testing efficiency and coverage. Familiarity with continuous integration tools allows the analyst to integrate BVT processes seamlessly into the development pipeline, facilitating rapid feedback cycles. Strong analytical skills are used daily to interpret test results, diagnose issues, and communicate findings clearly to technical teams.
