We are seeking a Landscaping Specialist to join the Caliber Lawn and Landscape Team. This position is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the appearance, safety, and overall quality of our residential and commercial properties through landscape installation, property improvements, and grounds maintenance services.
In this hands-on role, you will perform a variety of landscape projects including planting trees, shrubs, and perennials, replacing damaged or aging landscape materials, installing mulch and decorative rock, and assisting with small hardscape projects such as retaining walls, paver installations, edging, and other landscape enhancements. You will also support ongoing landscape maintenance activities to ensure properties remain attractive, healthy, and professionally maintained.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in craftsmanship, and has experience with landscaping, planting, grading, or hardscape installation. Candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Full-time Monday through Friday
Location – WDM & Ankeny
Key Responsibilities:
· Install and maintain landscaping for residential and commercial properties.
· Assist with small landscape construction projects, including retaining walls, paver installations, edging, and other hardscape improvements.
· Plant and replace trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal plantings.
· Install mulch, decorative rock, soil amendments, and landscape materials.
· Perform landscape bed renovations and enhancement projects.
· Assist with grading, site preparation, and irrigation-related landscape work as needed.
· Perform mowing, trimming, pruning, weed control, and general grounds maintenance when required.
· Conduct seasonal cleanups and debris removal.
· Operate landscaping tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
· Inspect properties and identify opportunities for landscape improvements or needed repairs.
· Follow all company safety standards and quality expectations.
· Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule and exceed client expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience in landscaping, hardscape installation, grounds maintenance, construction, or related field.
· Experience installing retaining walls, pavers, landscape edging, or planting materials preferred.
· Ability to operate landscape equipment and hand tools safely.
· Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Valid driver's license preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Compensation and Benefits
· $50K-$60K depending on experience
· Health Insurance Compensation- percentage of premium paid for employee if enrolled in company plan
