Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 4 to support the RSLP Engineering Director and a ~100‑person team across Annapolis, MD (primary), Florida, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania.
This role is for someone who is highly organized, comfortable with modern collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Microsoft 365), and interested in owning and managing small projects and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and project support to multiple leaders and team members.
- Manage day‑to‑day office needs: files, meetings, calendars, supplies, and routine correspondence.
- Use tools such as Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 to:
- Maintain collaboration sites and documentation
- Track actions, tasks, and simple workflows
- Create and maintain basic trackers, lists, and dashboards
- Arrange domestic and international travel and prepare expense reports.
- Coordinate and support meetings and events (all‑hands, lunch‑and‑learns, customer visits).
- Support onboarding: seating, IT hardware requests, coordination with HR/TA, and routing forms.
- Collaborate with other administrative professionals to align on common practices and shared activities.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of additional education and/or related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and complete work independently across changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated comfort learning and using new digital tools and systems.
- Ability to work on‑site full time in Annapolis, MD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to own small projects, track tasks, and drive to closure with minimal supervision.
- Experience with some of the following:
- Insights or similar AI/assistant tools
- Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint
- Concur (or similar) for travel and expenses
- Experience coordinating meetings/events and supporting large or multi‑site teams.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
