Primary Function
The Team Lead – Hybrid is responsible for delivering, unloading, and merchandising company products in assigned retail accounts, while serving as a lead support resource for route execution, service continuity, and operational consistency. This role assists other drivers, provides route coverage as needed, and supports daily field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and unload product as ordered while efficiently servicing assigned accounts.
- Stock, rotate, clean, and maintain product on shelves, vending equipment, coolers, fast lanes, and promotional displays according to company standards.
- Utilize ordering systems, equipment, and required documentation, including DSD reporting.
- Maintain organized backroom inventory and ensure proper product handling.
- Assist other route drivers with daily operations, including ride-alongs, guidance, and problem resolution as needed.
- Provide route coverage and operational support during absences, high-volume periods, or service disruptions.
- Support consistent execution of route, safety, and merchandising standards across the Hybrid team.
- Maintain professional customer relationships and deliver high levels of customer service.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with all safety and DOT requirements.
- Ensure pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections are properly completed, documented, and compliant with company policy and DOT regulations for all commercial vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A valid North Carolina Driver’s License or Commercial Driving License.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT medical requirements.
- Strong driving record.
- Previous route delivery, stocking, merchandising, or retail experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with availability for one weekend per month and some holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, lift up to 30 pounds overhead, push and pull product (including stairs), and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours per day and work in varying weather conditions.
- Demonstrated dependability, integrity, initiative, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks, Motor Vehicle Report review, and company drug testing requirements.
