Job DetailsJob Location: Archie, MO 64725Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayMedical Assistant/Receptionist CASS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Job Description Department Name: Practice Management Title: Clinic Medical Assistant/Receptionist EEOC Classification: Technician/Non-Exempt Date: January 2026 PART ONE: Dimension and Description Primary Purpose: To provide patient care, following provider orders, a smooth flow of patients, and insurance specifications in accordance with state and federal regulations, JCAHO standards of care and promote the Cass Regional mission statement. Highest level of customer service is expected in every aspect of the position by using the principals of AIDET. Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities: Formally responsible for providing input into policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities. Routine Decision Making: Determine physician needs and act accordingly. Decide appropriate scheduling, verify complete patient information, and verify insurance coverage.  Decides appropriate scheduling and verifies complete patient information. Formal Supervisory Responsibility: No formal supervisory responsibility. Required Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing skills; venipuncture; patient triage; pharmaceuticals; operation of equipment; insurance company requirements.  Knowledge of insurance contracts, CPT, and ICD-10 coding. Required Skills and Ability: Good communication skills; ability to multi-task; ability to act independently. Unusual Working Conditions: Risk of blood, body fluid contamination.         Age Specific Competencies: Provides care for birth to pediatric (birth-2 yrs.), pediatric/child patients between (2 yrs-12 yrs); adolescent patients between 12 to 18 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older. QualificationsEducation and Certification/ Registration Required for the Position: Current Medical Assistant certification. BLS required. Required Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing skills; patient triage, pharmaceuticals, operation of equipment and instruments, insurance company requirements, disease processes and regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Ability: Organizational and problem-solving skills, effective professional and interpersonal communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize patient assessment and care, ability to act independently. Use of critical thinking skills to identify, analyze and prioritize issues. Assist in identification of solutions in collaboration with others.
