The Deposit Operations Specialist I is a member of the back-office Deposit Operations group which is made up of four support teams. Team members are often cross-trained and positions can be changed fairly easily between teams.
This job can be located at any Southern Bancorp or Legacy Bank & Trust branch.
Responsibilities:
- Completes all required training
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned
- Manage and perform the functions below for the assigned team:
 Quality Control Team

- Review account maintenance relative to source input and/or for accuracy - Customer/CIF file maintenance if CIF record relates to Deposit, Savings, Time, Club, and Box Accounts
- Relationship file maintenance on same account types above, including changes to existing and addition of new accounts to the system
- Check Parameter Changes to source input and/or for authorized change
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of bank operations experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Strong customer contact skills to meet and greet the public in a friendly, courteous manner responding to a variety of situations in a professional manner
- Aptitude for problem solving, excellent reasoning skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain confidentiality of the Bank’s records and customer transactions
- Detail oriented, accurate, and able to multi-task
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products
