We are seeking an experienced Demolition Foreman to lead demolition operations for a major new construction project in Arlington, Virginia. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of demolition practices, job site safety, crew supervision, and project coordination.
Pay and Schedule:
Pay: $27 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed with possible overtime
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily demolition activities on-site
- Lead crews performing interior and selective demolition work
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide guidance to crew members
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Inspect equipment and tools to ensure proper operation and maintenance
- Track manpower, materials, and daily progress reports
- Identify and resolve job site issues proactively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in demolition, construction, or related trades
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience required
- Strong understanding of demolition methods, site logistics, and safety requirements
- Ability to read plans and understand project specifications
- Experience managing crews of laborers and equipment operators
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in Arlington, VA
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
