Shift Supervisor

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Shift Supervisor (SS).

Job Description:

Summary: Shift Supervisors manage and coordinate the performance of tasks required to provide visitor operations services for Arlington National Cemetery.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Provide supervision of visitor screening and visitor information assistance services and ensure services are being performed at the Welcome Center IAW SOPs. 
• Provide mobile supervision of visitor information assistance and traffic control personnel on ANC. 
• Perform supervision of contractor employees and the performance of the requirements listed in the PWS. 
• Ensures the safety of pedestrians and vehicular traffic throughout the facility.

Requirement: 

• An associate’s degree or certificate in a field relevant to visitor operations of a large public facility, national park, or similar venue; this may include communications, business management or operations, or similar general curriculum course; or 
• Two years of related post-secondary education and three years of relevant professional experience at a large public venue or government facility; or 
• Six years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. 
• Mobile Shift Supervisors who will be driving Government-provided vehicles shall possess a valid vehicle operator’s license and have a safe driving record. The Mobile Shift Supervisors’ driving record shall have no accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years and no Driving Under the Influence (DUI) convictions. 
• Personnel are required to have the ability to walk throughout the entire facility and stand constantly.  This includes long distances, various hills/grades and all types of terrain.
• VIA must be able to function outdoors in all types of weather.

Skills:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language with sufficient fluency to support the requirements within this contract
• Possess required state motor vehicle licenses or certifications for operating equipment and vehicles used in the execution of this contract

Physical Requirements: This position requires constant standing and walking throughout the entire facility, to include long distances, various hills/grades, and types of terrain.  This position is a year-around, outdoor position, and functions in all types of weather. 

Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
