Description

Position Overview

As our Part-Time Floating Concierge, you provide flexible and essential coverage for concierge teams across our Arlington portfolio. You will be assigned a home-base community in Arlington and may pick up available day, evening, or overnight shifts at other Arlington communities based on coverage needs and your availability. This role offers the opportunity to learn multiple communities, build relationships across the portfolio, and support teams when additional coverage is needed. Because each community and shift is different, success in this role requires adaptability, reliability, strong communication, and a consistent commitment to creating an exceptional resident experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide flexible coverage. Pick up available day, evening, and overnight shifts across Dweck’s Arlington portfolio and arrive prepared to support the assigned community’s needs and procedures.
  • Create a warm welcome. Greet residents, guests, vendors, and their pets; determine how you can help; provide directions or information; and connect visitors with the appropriate team member.
  • Adapt to each community. Learn and follow the site-specific procedures, access protocols, emergency contacts, package processes, amenity guidelines, and shift expectations for each assigned community.
  • Manage front desk communication. Answer incoming calls professionally, respond to routine questions, take accurate messages, and route or document calls for the appropriate team member.
  • Coordinate mail and packages. Receive, sort, log, secure, and distribute incoming mail and packages in accordance with community procedures. Deliver packages to residents’ doors when requested and permitted by community practice, and conduct package audits when assigned.
  • Support resident needs. Assist with amenity reservations, guest parking passes, local recommendations, lockouts, and resident concerns in accordance with the assigned community’s policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate service requests and emergencies. Document service requests accurately, communicate them to the appropriate team, and follow the assigned community’s emergency and after-hours procedures when immediate attention is required.
  • Partner with community teams. Complete assigned administrative tasks, maintain organized front desk records, support resident events when scheduled, and provide clear shift notes or handoff information.
  • Maintain community standards. Protect resident privacy, keep the concierge desk and nearby areas organized, follow building access and safety procedures, and promptly report incidents or unusual activity.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in helping people and creating a welcoming resident experience.
  • Strong reliability, adaptability, communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
  • The ability to learn and follow different community procedures while providing consistent service across locations and shifts.
  • Comfort using phones, computers, email, and property or package-management systems.
  • Customer service experience in hospitality, retail, multifamily property management, or a similar environment is preferred. We are also open to training someone with the right service mindset.
  • The ability to travel between and work at Dweck communities throughout the Arlington portfolio.
  • The ability to work at least three shifts per month to maintain employment in the Floating Concierge role.
