Helper - STRU

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift. This role encompasses a wide variety of skills depending on the department where you are placed. For example, you may assist other employees with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work. TRAINING IN HIGH POINT, NC

We are currently looking for helpers interested in learning to weld to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand-new facility in Asheboro, NC!

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

• Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.)

• Handle material

• Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)

• Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies

• Work in a fast-paced team environment

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required

• Ability to read a tape measure required

• Ability to read blueprints preferred

• Ability to work independently and on a team

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift

• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time

• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
