SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Branch Supervisor is responsible for efficiently supervising the daily operations of the branch and direct reports. Oversees and approves the daily work of the line employees. Resolves complex member issues. Assumes the responsibilities of the Branch Manager when made necessary by absence. Assists in coaching employees of the branch to achieve individual, branch and Credit Union goals. Promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, plans, manages, directs, organizes, and controls the operational activities and employees of the branch, including cross-selling, member service, safety, and security control.
Researches and resolves complex member concerns, transactions, and errors. Provides approvals as needed for transactions above staff limits.
Ensures that employee training and development is being utilized effectively to achieve performance expectations of front-line operations.
Assists the Branch Manager in overseeing the duties and functions of the branch employees and assumes the responsibilities of the Branch Manager when made necessary by absence.
Manages branch cash and maintains branch limit requirements and ensures that branch employees have acceptable balancing results.
Responsible for achieving branch sales goals as established by Branch Manager and AVP Branch Experience Officer.
Establishes and monitors employee sales and production goals.
Ensures branch certifications are completed in a timely manner.
Ensures branch general ledger accounts are kept in balance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Monitors and observes employee performance, including technical accuracy, sales and service efforts, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Monitors service standard results daily, weekly, and monthly. Reviews employee activities and works with Branch Manager to formulate recommendations for improvement.
Provides leadership and professional development of branch employees to ensure optimal member service. Encourages teamwork.
Works with Credit Union partners and vendors to ensure expenses are in accordance with budget under direction of Branch Manager.
Ensures the application of and compliance with established Credit Union operating policies and procedures. Performs monthly certifications to ensure compliance and minimal branch audit exceptions. Assures that branch audit results are within acceptable boundaries.
Supports the Branch Manager by ensuring business objectives are attained and member service delivery is professional and efficient.
Participates in project implementation, including leading and participating in business priority projects.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable laws.
Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to employee selection, training, coaching and discipline. Verifies employee time records and employee performance.
Prepares branch schedule for assigned employees for a variety of work shifts, ensuring that breaks and meals are scheduled to provide enough employee coverage and in compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations.
Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to, employee selection, training, coaching and discipline. Verifies employee time records and employee performance. Motivates, coaches, and evaluates assigned employees’ performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two or more years of increasingly responsible branch operational experience in a supervisory role within a financial institution.

Performs duties accurately and efficiently, even with frequent interruptions.
Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
Travels, attends, and participates in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.
Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
