Position Title: Fuel Truck Assistant
Department: Shop
Location: Athens, AL
Essential Job Functions:
- Aid the Fuel Truck Driver in loading, unloading, and dispensing fuel at designated locations.
- Ensure accurate measurement and delivery of fuel according to requirements.
- Assist in verifying the type and quantity of fuel before dispensing.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and storage of fuel.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the fuel truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Work closely with the Fuel Truck Driver to ensure efficient and coordinated fuel delivery operations.
- Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
- Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
- Aid Coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Ability to obtain Arsenal Badge and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
- Dependable transportation
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
- Work weekends and overtime as needed
- Committed to attending work each day
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
