Survey Office Technician Job Description:

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Work with a team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency 

• Research deeds, recorded plats, and other public or private documents necessary for survey project completion 

• Download and process survey field data and drone data 

• Interpret and plot record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys 

• Develop, draft, and modify drawings and relevant files related to final plats and surveys in AutoCAD Civil 3D 

• Draft legal descriptions for boundaries and easements 

• Aid in the creation of field views to verify data plots and ensure land features are as depicted on project survey maps 

• Collaborate with internal departments on project details 

• Report recurring field errors in coding, line work, or incorrect field note format to co-workers and supervisors as needed
