Radio One is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for employees, clients, vendors, artists, community partners, and visitors. The Receptionist will provide exceptional front-desk service while supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the office.
The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, polished, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entertainment and media environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all visitors, clients, talent, vendors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Manage the reception area and maintain a professional appearance.
- Receive and distribute mail, packages, deliveries, and other correspondence.
- Maintain visitor logs and follow company security and building access procedures.
- Notify employees when guests arrive and assist with meeting-room coordination.
- Respond to general inquiries and direct visitors or callers to the appropriate department.
- Provide administrative support to station management and various departments as needed.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating conference rooms, and maintaining calendars when requested.
- Maintain office supplies and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered.
- Assist with copying, scanning, filing, printing, and other basic office functions.
- Support promotions, marketing, events, and station activities as needed.
- Assist with artist, client, sponsor, and community partner arrivals during station events and activations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company, employee, client, talent, and business information.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of receptionist, administrative, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable interacting with people at all levels of an organization.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, calendars, and other office technology.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a busy media/entertainment environment.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
