Job DetailsJob Location: Georgia International Conv Center - College Park, GA 30337Salary Range: $20.00  Proof of the Pudding is a chef-led hospitality company delivering food and beverage experiences at some of North America’s most complex sports, entertainment, cultural, and live-event venues. Founded in Atlanta in 1979, Proof has built a national reputation for doing hospitality differently — from-scratch cooking at scale, hyper-local sourcing, and a partnership-first approach that treats clients as collaborators, not contracts. The company serves professional and collegiate sports venues, convention centers, cultural institutions, and large-scale destination events across the United States and Internationally. We are seeking a Catering Coordinator to support our team. This role combines administrative and customer service support for catering and event operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter who can balance event coordination and admin tasks with accuracy and professionalism. The position will be based out of the GICC office but only support/coordinate City of College Park events. Duties may include but are not limited to: Provide administrative and clerical support to the Sales Team, including data entry, contract/BEO updates, proposals, and correspondence. Assist with client communications by responding to calls and emails, supporting event planning, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the event process. Coordinate and distribute event details to internal staff and departments to ensure flawless execution. Support client billing, invoice processing, and reconciliation in collaboration with the Accounting Team. Manage outsourced vendor services for events, including orders, confirmations, and invoice processing. Create and distribute materials such as menu signs, proposals, sample menus, and event documentation. Participate in tastings, client walk-throughs, BEO meetings, and other event-related activities as needed. Perform other related duties as needed. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Hospitality, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in catering hospitality, or a related administrative/ customer support role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Delphi is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong knowledge of catering, event coordination, and operations; general interest in food, menu design, and creative event development is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and provide excellent customer service. Must be comfortable commuting to College Park, GA. Specialized Qualifications: Excellent listening and communication skills Strong customer service mindset with a desire to exceed client expectations Exceptional time management, organization, and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly     Work Environment  This position is 75% in office work; computer work in a cubicle, speaking to clients on the phone, inter-departmental meetings, and assisting with pre-event logistics as needed. 25% of this role can be assisting at events, attending walk throughs, running errands, and assisting Account Executives on the go as needed. Physical Demands: Long periods of computer work and sitting at a desk Periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
