The聽Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting聽department is seeking to hire a聽Lead Time & Leave Specialist.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

This position will serve as a lead within GSU鈥檚 Time and Absence team and will collaborate with departments to resolve Time and Absence issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage Time and Leave tickets

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Analyze Time and Leave reports

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage Time and Leave adjustments

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oversee system time and leave setup requests and resolve any related issues

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Generate and distribute time and absence related reports.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Adjust work schedules, as requested by Department

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide assistance to the Assistant Director

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Research and answer departmental questions

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage leave audits and other various audits.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with the Clearance form process

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide backup support for Time and Leave Specialists

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Partner with HR & Payroll to help resolve Time and Absence related issues

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with Departments to resolve Time and Absence issues

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Configure time clock user setup and troubleshoot non-technical time clock issues

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide time clock training and prepare related documentation

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with the delivery of Time and Absence training

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience. Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Requires good interpersonal communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and managers.
  • Good written communication skills are also required.
  • Strong organizational skills and highly detail-orientated professional
  • Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  • Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • A high degree of discretion, professional ethics, and judgment in confidential matters and information
  • Ability to maintain composure and good judgment when dealing with deadlines, dissatisfied employees, or a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
