Job DetailsJob Location: ATOKA, OK 74525Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Admin - ClericalRegistration Director Atoka County Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registration Director to lead our Patient Access and Registration Department. This position oversees registration operations for emergency, inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and ancillary services while ensuring an accurate, efficient, and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Direct daily patient registration and admission operations. Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate registration staff. Ensure accurate patient demographics, insurance information, consents, and required documentation. Oversee insurance verification, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient financial responsibility processes. Support point-of-service collections and approved financial-assistance procedures. Monitor registration accuracy, wait times, productivity, collections, denials, and patient satisfaction. Reduce registration errors, duplicate medical records, authorization failures, and billing delays. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, Medicare requirements, payer guidelines, and hospital policies. Investigate patient concerns and identify opportunities to improve department workflows. Collaborate with clinical departments, the Business Office, Health Information Management,  and hospital leadership. Participate in performance improvement, emergency preparedness, and survey-readiness activities. QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, medical terminology, and patient financial responsibility. Strong leadership, customer-service, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with electronic health record, registration, scheduling, and payer systems. CHAM, CHAA, or a comparable patient-access credential is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, exempt leadership position. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality, accountability, and a commitment to excellent patient service.
