Job Summary:
The Machine Builder is responsible for assembling and wiring equipment based on CAD drawings, handling pneumatic systems, and collaborating with engineers to resolve technical issues. The role involves travel for installations and service, continuous learning of new technologies, and contributing to process improvements. Regular updates to the Operations Manager and flexibility to take on additional tasks or special projects are also expected.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and integrate automation equipment in accordance with engineering specifications, CAD drawings, and established quality standards.
- Install and route pneumatic systems and related components according to supplied CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
- Demonstrate the willingness and aptitude to wire machines and electrical control systems in accordance with electrical schematics and engineering standards.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and mechanical capabilities by embracing new technologies, tools, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams to identify and resolve assembly, wiring, and equipment performance issues.
- Travel as required to support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer service activities, up to 20% of the time.
- Demonstrate strong initiative, accountability, and self-motivation in managing assigned tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations that enhance quality, efficiency, manufacturability, safety, and cost reduction.
- Maintain regular communication with the Operations Manager and project stakeholders regarding project status, priorities, challenges, and completion timelines.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Experience / Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of mechanical background required.
- 3-5 years of pneumatics preferred.
- Willing to work overtime and possible weekends.Â

20% domestic and international
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
During mandatory overtime 6am - 4:30pm (Saturdays and Sundays may be required)
