We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants w/Medication Certification (CNA-Ms) to join our team. CNA-Ms are assigned to a specific care area, which may include memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing, depending on the position.
Position Summary for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)
The CNA-M is a valued member of the nursing team responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities and providing routine nursing care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan.  In addition to performing traditional CNA duties, the CNA-M is responsible for the safe administration of medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. This role supports residents in a designated care setting while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety.
Key Responsibilities for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)
- Administer medications accurately and safely under the direction of a licensed nurse, following all applicable policies and regulationsÂ
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobilityÂ
- Deliver care in accordance with individualized care plans and established nursing standardsÂ
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing teamÂ
- Support residents’ independence, preferences, and dignity while maintaining safetyÂ
- Assist with positioning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniquesÂ
- Communicate effectively with nurses, team members, residents, and familiesÂ
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environmentÂ
- Document care provided according to facility policiesÂ
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)
- Active and in-good-standing certification on the Maine CNA RegistryÂ
- Proof of Medication Certification
- Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisorsÂ
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentialityÂ
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Proficiency in spoken and written EnglishÂ
- Basic computer skills
Positions Available:
- Full-time
- Evenings, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Every other weekend required
