• $75 weekly on-call pay when scheduled

What You'll Do

As a Diagnostic Mechanic, you'll help keep AIS vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and equipment failures
• Troubleshoot problems using diagnostic equipment, schematics, service manuals, and hands-on experience
• Repair and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose electrical, brake, cooling, driveline, hydraulic, and related systems
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential failures before they result in downtime
• Use diagnostic and maintenance software to troubleshoot and document repairs
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and mechanical concerns
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
• Assist with field or roadside repairs when needed
• Work with mechanics and operations personnel to return equipment to service efficiently
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

What We're Looking For

Someone who understands that good diagnostic work is more than replacing parts. You should be able to recognize when something isn't right, systematically troubleshoot the problem, and follow it through to resolution.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Professional mechanic or equipment repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with diesel and/or gasoline engines
• Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read service manuals, diagrams, and schematics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to safe work practices

Industrial, fleet, heavy-equipment, diesel, or industrial-cleaning equipment experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on mechanic position. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and work around equipment for extended periods
• Lift approximately 50–75 pounds when necessary
• Work in shop and outdoor environments
• Work around elevated noise levels
• Safely use required personal protective equipment
• Work extended shifts and overtime when operations require it
