Job Description:

TheĀ RoleĀ

Entegris is currently seeking aĀ GlobalĀ Technology & Innovation Ā SafetyĀ LeadĀ to join ourĀ Materials Solutions Technology & Innovation OperationsĀ team. This position will be basedĀ inĀ ourĀ Aurora, ILĀ facility.Ā

Ā

In this role, you willĀ strengthen the T&I organization’s ability to prevent incidents,Ā eliminateĀ repeat events, and build a ā€œsafety alwaysā€ culture by driving rigorous root cause analysis (RCA), 8D execution, and global lessons learned implementation. This role plays a critical part in safety by ensuring that incidents, near misses, and observations are systematically analyzed, translated intoĀ high qualityĀ corrective actions, and embedded across the globalĀ T&IĀ network.Ā

This role ownsĀ T&IĀ safety metrics and leadership reporting, ensuring clear visibility into risks, trends, and performance. By proactivelyĀ identifyingĀ systemic gaps, driving disciplined corrective action, and enabling digital and AI driven improvements to safety practices, the role ensuresĀ T&IĀ teamsĀ operateĀ safely, consistently, and with a strong learning mindset across all sites.Ā

Ā

WhatĀ You’llĀ Do:

Ā

Drive RCA and 8D Excellence and Global Learning (Rigor and Accountability)Ā

  • Standardize and coordinate RCA, 8D, and lessons learned activities forĀ T&IĀ safety incidents, near misses, and key observations across the globalĀ T&IĀ organization.Ā

  • Establish and enforce expectations forĀ depth ofĀ analysis to ensure true root causes areĀ identifiedĀ and not symptoms.Ā

  • Translate findings into scalable lessons learned and ensure they are effectively communicated and adopted across sites.Ā

  • Ensure root cause analysis outputs are systematically linked to updates in SOPs, training materials, and onboarding practices to prevent recurrence.Ā

Ā

EnsureĀ High QualityĀ Corrective Action Implementation (Prevention and Impact)Ā

  • Track and drive closure of corrective and preventive actions globally,Ā maintainingĀ clear accountability and visibility.Ā

  • ChallengeĀ low impactĀ or administrative corrective actions and elevate action quality by promoting stronger, more effective measures that address system level risks through engineering and systemic controls.Ā

  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively,Ā validated, and sustained over time.Ā

  • Ensure actions related to human factors, training gaps, or procedural weaknesses are incorporated into training programs, onboarding, and competency requirements.Ā

Ā

Own Safety Metrics and Leadership Reporting (Clarity and Transparency)Ā

  • OwnĀ T&IĀ safety metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes for leadership updates.Ā

  • Develop clear, audit ready views of incident trends, repeat events, corrective action effectiveness, and leading indicators.Ā

  • ProvideĀ regular insights toĀ T&IĀ and site leadership to enable proactive decision making and risk mitigation.Ā

  • Ensure alignment ofĀ T&IĀ metrics with broader EHS frameworks whileĀ maintainingĀ focus onĀ T&IĀ specific risks.Ā

Ā

OwnĀ T&IĀ Safety Training, Competency, and Onboarding Systems (Capability and Sustainability)Ā

  • Define andĀ maintainĀ a globalĀ T&IĀ safety training and competency matrix aligned to role, hazard exposure, and work activities, ensuring clear requirements for all personnel, contractors, and visitors.Ā

  • Establish standardized processes to assess training effectiveness,Ā identifyĀ skill gaps, and drive targeted upskilling across theĀ T&IĀ organization.Ā

  • ReinvigorateĀ T&IĀ safety onboarding programs to ensure new employees are fully prepared toĀ operateĀ safely, with emphasis on hazard recognition, safe work practices, and site-specific risks prior to independent work.Ā

  • Implement mechanisms to verify competency and understanding, not just training completion, particularly for high-risk activities and environments.Ā

Ā

Enable a ā€œSafety Alwaysā€ Culture (Engagement and Influence)Ā

  • Promote an environment where incident reporting, near miss identification, and learning are expected and reinforced.Ā

  • Drive adoption of lessons learned to prevent recurrence of similar events across sites and programs.Ā

  • Reinforce accountability, transparency, and continuous learning following safety events.Ā

  • Drives the organization’s safety culture by embedding continuous improvement, encouraging learning from experience, and driving ongoing enhancement of safety practices.Ā

Leverage Digital and AI Enabled Safety Innovation (Forward Looking and Scalable)Ā

  • IdentifyĀ and deploy opportunities to integrate AI and digital tools into laboratory and work area safety routines.Ā

  • Enhance how safety data is captured, analyzed, and acted upon through automation and advanced analytics.Ā

  • Partner with digital, IT, and EHS teams to scale solutions that improve hazard identification, trend analysis, and decision support.Ā

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety systems and workflows through technology enablement.Ā

Operate Across a Global, Cross Functional EnvironmentĀ

  • Serve as a central coordination point acrossĀ T&I, EHS, Quality, Operations, and site leadership.Ā

  • Align closely with global EHS partners to ensure consistency, compliance, and shared best practices.Ā

  • Work across regions and time zones to ensure consistent expectations and execution globally.Ā

  • Facilitate alignment on priorities, ownership, and timelines for corrective actions and lessons learned.Ā

Ā

Share and Scale Best Practices Across the EnterpriseĀ

  • Identify, document, andĀ disseminateĀ safety best practices acrossĀ T&IĀ and into the broader enterprise.Ā

  • EnableĀ cross siteĀ andĀ cross functionalĀ learning to accelerate adoption of proven safety improvements.Ā

  • Act as a connector between sites to ensure learnings are not isolated and are broadlyĀ leveraged.Ā

Ā

WhatĀ WeĀ Seek:Ā

Ā

Required QualificationsĀ

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field with 5 or more years of experience in an industrial environmentĀ

  • Demonstrated experience with RCA, 8D, or structured problem-solving methodologies.Ā

  • Proven ability to influence without authority in a global, cross-functional environment.Ā

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including leadership level reporting.Ā

  • High attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and audit ready outputs.Ā

Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ

  • Experience inĀ T&I, laboratory, or technical operations environments.Ā

  • Core safety knowledge in chemicalĀ laboratoriesĀ and manufacturing environments.Ā

  • Experience owning metrics, dashboards, and executive level reporting.Ā

  • Exposure to digital or AI enabled solutions in safety or operational environments.Ā

  • Lessons learned are consistently adopted across sites and embedded into ways of working.Ā

  • AI and digital tools are successfully integrated to improve safety insight, speed, and scalability.Ā

  • Strong alignment with EHS and effective sharing of best practices across the enterprise.Ā

  • T&IĀ teamsĀ demonstrateĀ strong ownership of safety, learning, and follow through.Ā
