Description

Lead from the building, not from a distance.

For nearly 30 years, respiratory therapy has been missing from long-term care. We're bringing it back — and we're looking for a leader to help us do it right across multiple facilities.

The RT Regional Lead is the bridge between our field teams and company leadership. You'll oversee approximately 3–5 facilities and support 18+ respiratory therapy staff, keeping a limited clinical caseload yourself so you never lose touch with the work. This is hands-on leadership: showing up, supporting teams, solving problems, and helping people do their best work.

If you lead with accountability, communicate openly, and genuinely enjoy helping others grow — this is your role.

What you'll do

Lead and develop teams

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and support across your facilities
  • Build a positive, collaborative, and accountable culture where staff feel valued and empowered
  • Support Lead Therapists and RTs through clinical and operational challenges
  • Keep communication strong between facility teams and company leadership

Drive clinical and operational performance

  • Uphold high standards of respiratory care and service delivery
  • Monitor workflow, team effectiveness, and operational priorities across sites
  • Problem-solve staffing, scheduling, coverage, and facility needs
  • Maintain awareness of census trends and staffing demands; keep processes consistent across buildings

Support recruiting and onboarding

  • Interview and evaluate prospective RT staff alongside leadership
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training so new hires feel welcomed and prepared
  • Connect new team members to the company culture from day one

Support growth and new programs

  • Help open and stand up new respiratory therapy sites
  • Establish strong clinical and operational foundations during start-up
  • Serve as a steady leadership presence during periods of growth and transition

Stay clinical

  • Maintain a limited caseload or provide coverage as needed to support your teams
  • Assist with weekend and coverage needs when appropriate
  • Model strong clinical practice, professionalism, and patient-centered care

What you need

  • Active RT license in good standing (RRT or CRT)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in respiratory, rehab, or healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Skilled communicator with strong relationship-building ability
  • Able to manage multiple facilities and priorities while staying organized and responsive
  • Comfortable balancing leadership with occasional clinical duties
  • Skilled nursing or post-acute experience (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel between assigned facilities

What success looks like

  • Teams feel supported, connected, and accountable
  • Facilities run with strong communication and reliable leadership presence
  • New staff are onboarded smoothly and integrated into the team
  • Clinical and operational expectations are met consistently
  • New site openings and growth initiatives are supported without friction
  • Staff and facility partners see you as a trusted resource and problem-solver

Why Banyan

  • Real ownership — you shape culture and outcomes across a region, not just one building
  • Support — we handle the backend (billing, scheduling, compliance) so you can lead
  • Growth — help build something new in post-acute respiratory care
  • Competitive salary + leadership track in a company that's scaling

The bottom line

At Banyan, leadership isn't managing from afar — it's showing up, supporting teams, and helping people do their best work. If you want to shape how respiratory care is delivered across the communities we serve, apply.
