Schedule: Day Shift | Full-time | Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00 call rotation holidays assigned on rotation 

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Position patients using stabilizing equipment to optimize surgical site exposure while prioritizing safety and comfort.
  • Maintain visual clarity at the operative site through tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
  • Execute appropriate techniques to achieve both temporary and permanent hemostasis.
  • Assist surgeons with body plane closure, securing drainage systems, and applying wound dressings. 
  • Prepare the operating room according to surgeon preference cards, ensuring required instruments, supplies, and resources are ready.
  • Clear soiled case carts, trash, and supplies from the OR post-procedure to support efficient room turnover.
  • Participate as an active surgical team member and fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain availability for required on-call shifts.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Assistant Surgical Assistant specializing in Surgery credentialed from the National Boardof Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in bedside assisting, instrument passing, and intraoperative support across all robotic procedures within the Robotics Service Line.
