Job Summary
Brothers Food Service is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our Austin team. This position is ideal for an experienced commercial driver who takes pride in providing safe, timely, and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes
- Transport and deliver products to designated warehouse locations
- Assist with loading, unloading, and product handling as required
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Verify delivery information and maintain accurate route documentation
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle
- Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or safety concerns
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse personnel, customers, and other team members
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Minimum of three years of commercial driving experience
- Acceptable motor vehicle record based on company and insurance requirements
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to satisfy applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Ability to pass required background, drug, and driving-record screenings
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Strong communication and basic math skills
- Dependable attendance and availability to work scheduled shifts, including some weekends and holidays
